Water Safety

Room 20 has been learning how to be safe in and around the water.
We can spot the hazards near rivers, lakes and wharfs.

The Water Cycle

Room 20 has been learning about the water cycle.

We conducted an experiment on evaporation and condensation.
We put water in a zip lock bag and stuck it to our classroom window. The sun heated the water in the bag causing evaporation. That water vapor then cooled down which caused condensation on the side of the bag.

States of Matter

We are learning about the three states of matter, liquid, solid and gas.  We pretended we were particles (the tiny tiny building blocks that make up everything in the world).

We can move like a liquid. We are close together but can move past each other.

We can move like a solid. We are very close together.

We can move like a gas. We are far apart and move fast.
